I am sorry to hear that. I strongly doubt that dumping Firefox for
another browser will hit the "totalitarians" you mention. I suspect that
this would do the opposite.

For one thing, this is exactly what the company who organized the
pressure on Brendan and Mozilla (namely, OKCupid) urged people to do.
This is one of the things that eventually led Brendan to resign. It is
my understanding that you consider this pressure an act of
totalitarianism, so I can only suggest that you do not emulate its methods.

Secondly, as you may know, Mozilla is the main organization that defends
free speech and privacy on the web. Most major browsers other than
Firefox and the major mobile operating system that Firefox OS is
designed to fight have been proved to spy upon their users and report
about their activities. This is exactly what we are up against.
