Thanks everyone. I'm glad to see that I was misinformed. I knew that volunteers had been able to blog in the past, but I thought the policy had changed since I trusted my source.
I apologize to anyone who was upset. I didn't think I was making an assumption. Do we have a wiki page or some other guide explaining how to get access for volunteers? I'd be happy to help share it out. I'm sure I've talked with other people who also thought it was employee only because of LDAP (and that is also why I trusted my source, I was sure I'd heard the same thing before).
