*Academic Health Center Information Exchange*
The UMN AHC IE is a platform of databases, applications, and analytical
tools to support the operation of research across the enterprise. The
underlying infrastructure, along with the continued development, is made
possible largely due to the University's CTSA award.

The primary source of clinical data that feeds our data repository comes
from Fairview Health Systems, specifically Epic > Clarity. Fairview is
Minnesota's 3rd largest healthcare system, with 9 hospitals and 40+
clinics. The University of Minnesota, along with the University of
Minnesota Physicians (faculty practice group), have partnered with Fairview
since 1997 when they took ownership of the University Medical Center and
Children's hospitals. We continue to work together to expand our CDR by
adding more categories of data from Epic > Clarity along with data from
other ancillary systems.

*Technology Stack*
Databases: Oracle, MS SQL Server
ETL/Data Integration: Pentaho Kettle, SQL Server Integration services
Web: Ruby on Rails, Cold Fusion, jQuery, Bootstrap
Continuous Integration: Jenkins
Source Control: SourceTree
Issue Tracking/Project Management: Jira, Confluence

I hope thats not TMI. We're very excited to be part of the GPC and look
forward to meeting everyone in person at the Hackathon.
