Date-shifting discussion from today's call: I'd like to clarify that the strategy in Marshfield is not to round dates, but rather to calculate "age at event" to three (or more) decimal places.
We find this advantageous when working with smaller cohorts, such as our biobank of 20k individuals. The method retains the sequence/relationship between events with-for some use cases-reduced risk of re-identification.
