Currently at the UMN, we do not display categories, rather researchers search by years.The question seemed to be whether to use age categories. Attached is the LOINC Categorization for age, which was submitted as part of the Nursing Management Minimum Data Set and links to the NIH Cancer Institute SEER. We spent a considerable time trying to find a standard for normalizing age cateogires and this was the most relevant site we could find. I am glad to contact researchers if you like but need to be sure I am clear on the question and find out if there is a listserv for researchers so I can reach out to them or should I only talk with those at MN who will be working on the 3 clinical conditions of ALS, Obesity, & breast cancer?
