Are the semantics of the "obesity query" correct? While Ok to test an i2b2 instance's operation, the query " Find everyone with a BMI percentile > 5" would actually identify *everybody* other than the severely underweight - not the obese patients who we are expected contact. (If we are looking for underweight individuals, we would have to change the criterion to < 5, not >5).
The URL http://www.eufic.org/page/en/page/FAQ/faqid/bmi-percentages/ cites the definitions of the International Obesity Task Force, which I've copied and pasted below: Underweight BMI-for-age < 5th percentile. Normal weight BMI-for-age between 5th percentile and 90 percentile. At risk of overweight BMI-for-age between 90th percentile and 97th percentile Overweight BMI-for-age > 97th percentile. The exclusion conditions - diseases causing malnourishment (e.g., cancer), amphetamines, bronchodilators - listed in the query spec would similarly exclude known causes of low weight.
