The following timeline was sent to Russ and distributed to GPC PIs today:
'''March 2:''' This letter goes out from PCORI to the CDRN PIs outlining
the objective, process and timeline.
'''March 14th:''' The Diagnostic Query is sent to all remaining !DataMarts
(No later than) March 25th:Diagnostic Query results are due back to DRN-OC
[A 2-week extension could be provided to those who need it]
'''March 29th:''' The Data Characterization is sent to all !DataMarts who
have successfully returned the Diagnostic Query.
(No later than) '''April 8th:''' Data Characterization results are due
back to the DRN-OC. [A 2-week extension could be provided to those who
need it]
'''April 12th:''' The DRN OC provides PCORI with “pass/fail” information
for all Diagnostic Queries and Data Characterization responses received.
(Note: the !DataMarts will receive this information as it is available.)
'''
April 15th:''' The PCORI Program will review the status of !DataMarts with
the CDRN PI and discuss the ability of individual !DataMarts to
participate in PCORnet wide DRN activities, and in the demonstration
projects.
'''April-May:'''
• DRN-OC reviews available information from the Data
Characterization reports and starts discussions with the individual
!DataMarts about barriers to successful completion of the data
characterization step. It is anticipated that this will be a 2-4 week
process depending on how many responses are received back from the
!DataMarts and the level of difficulties encountered.
• DRN-OC will consider developing a "Data Quality check list " to
accelerate the work of reviewing data quality locally
• The obesity Data Quality activities will start for the DMs
participating in the obesity studies.
In April, should it be necessary, a more general prioritization process
will be developed by PCORI. In addition to successfully completing Steps 1
and 2, other factors (such as ability to adopt PCORnet wide agreements)
will be taken into account.
