Actually it would be good to know some details from interested sites: Any particular use cases or features you're interested in? For normal gpc business, the Nov 2014 version should work fine.
Installation in a docker container is probably easiest for me. Can you use docker? How about a VM? Or is installation in an existing host your target? Are you inclined to follow along in real time at your site? Or do you expect to mostly watch? Oracle and linux are what I use. Do you use something different? Can you connect to your db from python? Have you ever tried jython? The move to jython was motivated by a recent enhancement where the databuilder plug-in ui lets users exclude modifiers. If that feature isn't important, installation could be simpler.
