OK good - so do all the onboard NICs on new boards use PCI-X? I haven't
tested for speed using these.

Not the Microsoft way no, but Winconnect Server XP will save dollars for
any small practice with a network.

I'd say every practice needs a very good server, and large TS
installations need more than one.

I don't understand - we need nothing more than basic graphics on thin
clients or workstations - can you elaborate?

The speed advantages, while still significant, don't compare to what you
get out of MDW2. The other major advantages of not having to replace
clients until the hardware dies, being able to use thin clients, and
being able to configure and update everything in one place still mean
that TS should be seriously considered when it's time for a new server
or two, with a single PC or Mac dedicated to scanning, pathology, etc.
