Does anyone have any stats on numbers of users that still have 800x600

As depressing as it is, around 25% as of July 2005 (but
down from 30% 6 months earlier!)

(take this all with a grain of salt, I'm not sure exactly what
their sample size is)

Traditionally with webpages (and therefore by proxy a web app), it would be good to limit the actual app screen real estate to 800 pixels width. Think of all those still using 15" monitors in less fortunate parts of the digital divide.

Thinking also about the alternate types of screen readers available and that anything bigger pushes the sensibilities of what entails a full application versus a lite web app...

Similarly faced the constraints of early adopters in GP-land of them new fangled LCD screens; quite a few were still using 800x600 TFT's as of last year... Needless to say we didn't factor in that GPs would be using old tech.
