One can't place an image in a PIT file. Maybe the Argus HL7 will allow an image to be contained in the message one day soon. How that will be dealt with or inserted is a whole separate headache.
I think it more it is more important that we lobby for the standard to be changed as it is a major technical impediment to electronic referrals to require an individual signature.
