I have faxed them when a pharmacy has needed to know urgently what I am 
prescribing.  I have then posted the original to the pharmacy or asked the 
patient to collect it and take it to the pharmacy.

This is a good question.  I have just read the Yellow Book and it does not 
address this question.  I have just asked the PBS - you will have seen the 
message.  I'll let you know when I receive a reply.  Replies from the PBS or 
Medicare Australia often take weeks.
