For those that are interested, the technology Horst is alluding to is
Winconnect Server XP, which turns a Windows XP box into a terminal
server for up to 21 concurrent connections, allowing you to stop
upgrading or replacing those annoying workstations every 3 years or
so, even allowing you to run thin clients, and centralising your
applications so that updates etc only have to be done once. Also it
allows you to run workstation class anti-virus, imaging software etc
which saves more money.
The resulting architecture is the same as that achieved with Windows
Server 2003 except that you pay Microsoft a lot less money. I don't
think anyone could disagree that this is a good thing.....Barry? : )
