You can make a request to HCN for the decrypt tool which as it suggests, decrypts the memo fields. Connect to this newly created table via an ODBC link.

The other option is the Horst Herb method which utilises a Python scipt - may have to search the archive for this.

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone here has been able to extract the memo fields
from Medical Director 2. I just want to extract them to a text format.
This is only for use by GPs in the same practice so there aren't really
any ethical issues...

I have a utility that decodes dbf memos, but would I be right in
assuming that MD2 encrypts the memo fields in some way?

Any links or other info much appreciated...

Thanks,
Daniel.
