Syan's script works Ok but generates multiple subdirectories and individual files - after I'd finished playing with it windows had trouble managing to delete the large number of files and directories - it took about 20 minutes. I will try his postgres code when I get a chance. The HCN decryption utility is partially broken in that it will no longer do incremental decryption - this makes it virtually useless - it takes the best part of a day to decrypt 140,000 rows in the progress notes memo field. If Syan gets a good incremental decryption utility developed perhaps HCN would consider purchasing it from him? Tony PS - reviewing and searching progress notes within a practice is an invaluable teaching tool for our registrars and a great help medico-legally when you can remember the condition you treated but not the name of the patient(s). Anyone purchasing a EHR these days should consider this in making their decision. _______________________________________________ Gpcg_talk mailing list [email protected] http://ozdocit.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/gpcg_talk
