Maybe, if (1) there was a workable store and forward mechanism which automatically flagged that off-line entries were being made without access the the existing record and (2) a dump of the entire database was available to me anytime through some simple mechanism (ie no lock-in) and (3) I had total control over any third party use of the data I wouldn't have anything to do with a shared, common, hosted EHR though.
