The reason I bought this model is that we are often over-voltage here and this one will continue to run on over-voltage, whereas the cheaper types run on battery for both under and over voltage. it's a powerware 512S. it has two different controlled outputs - one is set to last a long time - server only on this - and the other one which cuts out earlier has the extras on it. liz
