Yes but data matching is like a gun or a car - it is simply a tool which
is powerful and can be used for harm or good. I would have thought as IT
interested people we would have a more intellectual discussion about
such topics. If you want to be paranoid, I reckon the current system
with lots of data around and no controls is worse.

to an innocent citizen's life being destroyed.
That film still gives me nightmares.
