I have experienced T's problem as well but with doc or rtf files (forget which) I think a reinstall of thunderbird fixed it.
also, regarding firebird, we do a lot of in-house data entry, information massaging etc using web browsers. I sometimes have difficulty copying information from a firefox tab to the windows clipboard. It sometimes takes 3 or more tries of right click -> copy to actually get it into the clipboard. Have others noticed this quirk? Tony PS - I confess to being another "it-can't-happen-to-me" type who usually logs on as administrator. It's hard to have fun without priviliges.
