Shared printer should be fine and the network cards can add a fair bit to
the price in my experience.

Thanks for the replies.
We have two computers side by side on the front desk for receipts and 
Medicare forms. The 2 receptionists use this printer exclusively. Only 
very rarely do others in the practice need to use the frontdesk printer.
Should we have a network printer or just a shared printer between the 
two using Windows print sharing?
