very ugly hack because I needed scanning & document archiving quickly, so I
just "hacked" the lot together in brief intervals between other tasks and
patients, without any planning nor concept. Medibase allowed only scanning a
document *after* opening a patient, which makes the concept of batch scanning
stacks of documents frustratingly inefficient - in my system you simply scan
whatever you like, it is then listed as "unfiled" until some kind soul
assigns patients to documents which goes very quick with few keystrokes and
no delays

Since I am doing this form almost a dozen different PCs (eg at hospital,
surgery, at home) whenever I have ten or more minutes, I misused the svn
system for my own purposes

Might check in a working much cleaner version tonight (module called
gmArchivePanel) if I find the time - works only on systems running the SANE
scanner interface though, unless somebody adds Karsten's Twain wrapping code
to the SANE wrapper

I intended to have more time for programming, alas the realities of "managing"
my practice, my employees, multiple trusts and companies plus a family of
six seem to drain me completely of any time. Whenever I get rid of some task
two new ones seem to pop up out of nowhere.
