Every time I have seen someone use FileMaker, they fire it up, create a
data entry screen and start entering data. Everything else seems to
happen automatically behind the scenes. About a week or two later, all
that automatism starts to cause problems as the user discovers that the
underlying data model might leave a bit to be desired. RoR, Django and
Turbogears all force you to think about your data model up front, which
is good.
