Are you running the updated (blue, not green/brown) yet Andrew? -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Andrew Cameron Sent: Tuesday, 10 October 2006 10:15 PM To: 'General Practice Computing Group Talk' Subject: RE: [GPCG_TALK] Practix slow over WAN link
Well an update is due... IBA Support dialling in last week after hours and suddenly the remote site is more usable. Not sure what they did but it is definitley quicker and the main server is doing considerably less work. We were thinking after running some performance monitoring that the main server would need its 2nd xeon cpu and another 2 gig of ram as it was sitting on 20-35% cpu and the disk queue length was getting up there at 2-3. But after IBA has tweaked things it is back to an acceptable 2-5% cpu. Love to know what they did. So maybe Dr John Van Dyck has nothing to worry about next year after all :) Andrew C. _______________________________________________ Gpcg_talk mailing list [email protected] http://ozdocit.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/gpcg_talk _______________________________________________ Gpcg_talk mailing list [email protected] http://ozdocit.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/gpcg_talk
