Unles they deliberately obfuscate table content (eg thorugh "encryption") it should be easy to migrate or use eg via web interface. AFAIK, Medtech uses Interbase? Never seen it before outside a demonstration The database does *not* have to reside on the web server - in fact it is desirable for security reasons that it is not.
