I am not sure that our large database runs under MSDE. Tony mentions getting a Developer's license off e-bay and I seem to recall MS talking about reduced or free licenses for back up SQL servers a few years ago.
Can one avoid paying several thousand dollars for a hot spare MS SQL server machine? David
