BP will create a record for a new patient if referral received
electronically. I know this to be true as I use BP and have seen this. If
my memory serves me correct so will MD2.

Another benefit is that the local specialists to whom I am now emailing
referrals via Argus is that the referral goes straight into the
specialist's electronic record for the patient. A growing number of
specialists are now using Genie or other clinical systems. They don't
want paper coming in any more now than we do.

I have been told, but haven't tried to confirm it yet, that Genie
automatically creates a record for a new patient when the referral is
received via Argus, using the information in the referral.
