Sounds promising, but would need careful assessment - the use of Apache and PostgreSQL is fine, but being written entirely in Perl by a single person who is not a software engineer by trade is a slight cause for concern. Doesn't mean it is not good, but the source code would need to be examined and given the thumbs up by a Perl expert or three before you would want to bet the business on it. But that will happen, as there are plenty of people in all walks of life who will be very, very interested in a free, open alternative to MYOB and its various commercial competitors. Hopefully a (paid and volunteer) support ecosystem will grow up around this software (if it is any good, which it might well be).
