Regarding ethernet over power, have they really sorted out the problems of sending high frequency digital data over relatively unshielded cables which extend throughout the entire building?
I know that amateur radio operators were particularly concerned about efforts to provide broadband connections using the electrical power wiring on the street. In the general practice context, our ECG machines already need filters to block out the 50/60 Hz hum. Will these ethernet over power devices mean that we can now share our MP3s by passing around ECG reports?
