David,
I should also mention I've put a few of the 8-port D-Link unmanaged
versions into practices, without any adverse reports and one of the
Linksys SR-2016 models, but most of the practices I deal with don't need
16 ports.
I'm also very fond of the Linksys AG-241 'Internet gateway', through
which this message is reaching you. A wonderful array of features and
security for $112. No doubt a legacy of its Cisco heritage.
I have one at home, as well, and a good number of practices are using
them without complaint.
