The pptp is only up for when it is getting used. The rdp is only
used inside
the vpn.
This is a lot better than a PPTP VPN directly to an MS server,
especially if you are using different authentication for the VPN than
you do for Windows access.
It's just we've found a better way - free, secure software, no VPN
hardware required, easy access from any OS, lets us move past
passwords to more secure tokens.
