Subject: Re: [GPCG_TALK] NEHTA and interoperable web services

Hi Tony,

Unless the search function in Acrobat V8.0 is dead - this new document
does not mention either HL7 or HSSP. I would have thought a nod to the
now - newly adopted approach - would have been useful.

I think the plan is now we use HL7 Services (HSSP) at some level - not
sure how it all will fit together.

It will be worthwhile to keep a close eye on:

http://hssp.wikispaces.com/

Neither is there a mention of HL7 in the current NEHTA Standards
catalogue.V 2.0 (Dated Jan 2007.)

I am pretty sure the HL7 decision was taken rather on the run - and we
have a right hand and left hand problem going on internally.

I welcome the pragmatic components of this recent HL7 announcement - but
there are some wrinkles.

I plan an article or two on all this over coming days.

Cheers

David
