As flagged by others last week, the standard pieces required for completing NEHTA's web services vision are falling into place. They must have heeded David More's warnings as releases are coming out in somewhat of a flurry.

On top of -

GP and Specialist/Critical Care Referral Data Content Specifications v1.0 NEHTA confirms Health Level 7 as the national standards for the electronicmessaging of health information across Australia.(22/3/2007)
Interoperability Maturity Model v1.0 (This was released on 26/3/2007)

comes -

Guidelines for Implementing Interoperable Web Services v1.0 (This was released yesteday!)

I'd be very interested in the comments of the technical members of this list on the NEHTA's outline of Web service interfaces using WSDL, and its realisation with SOAP messages.

What else is needed for implementation?

Cheers,

Tony Lembke
