Me too. If nothing else, these public discussions might assist vendors in 
gradually finding a common ground which long term might achieve some degree 
of much needed interoperability, and every now and then they might allow 
coalface doctors to chip in when there is a gross misunderstanding of 
underlying needs / process. 

Can't see any negative aspects to such public discussion - you don't have to 
read a message if you don't like the topic.
