Simon,

I asked this question a while back on the BP forum
http://forum.bpsoftware.com.au and the answer that I got was

SELECT MSH.6.1.1.1 FROM MSH.6.1.1.1

This worked for me. As did the 'single click' to send a referral in HL7
straight from the BP WordProcessor. Had to fiddle with settings in both Argus
and BP a bit, but eventually got to the single click stage.

As easy a printing a referral letter.

Thanks

Subject: [GPCG_TALK] Argus Agent HQL Statement

Currently putting a secure messaging article together using Argus as the
transport mechanism.

I'm using Argus to scoop up a HL7 file dropped by the sending program (Best
Practice), encrypt it, transport to the recipient, then drop it in the
appropriate directory for the recipients clinical software (Zedmed) to
import.

The configuration of the Argus Agent action at the sending end that directs
the message to the correct email address (embedded in the HL7 message) has
me stumped presently.

Based on the descriptions in the Argus Agent program, the action I think I
need to use is "Pickup HL7 Files". I've:

1. Set polling frequency
2. Specified the polling directory and sent archive directory
3. Specified the senders email address
4. Set the resend conditions

Where I'm getting stuck is with the HQL query that specifies where Argus
looks in the HL7 message for the recipients email address. The first line of
the HL7 file is below:

**
MSH|^~\&|Best Practice 1.5.2.375|Best Practice
Clinic|Argus|[EMAIL PROTECTED]|20070707113449+1000||REF^I12|BPS_
20070707.12|P|2.3.1|||NE|AL|AU||EN^^ISO639
**

So...

If anyone can provide me with a HQL statement that will extract the email
address from this line of the HL7 message I'd be most grateful.

Thanks,
Simon
