How long before pharmaceutical companies twig to the fact that they can offer dear old Mrs Blogs a free chance to win an all expenses paid holiday for one in Moonee Ponds if she just tells them what the password is to access her account on the regional/state/national shared EHR. Which they then trawl in order to recommend their products to Mrs Blogs medical attendants, either directly, or indirectly as marketing intelligence. And because Mrs Blogs has consented to all this, in return for a chance to spend a week in Moonee Ponds, by handing over her password, free of any coercion, it would appear to be perfectly legal, given current laws, would it not?
