In the past (last time I did this was on version 3.2 or 3.3) if you used mmsetquota and set a users quota to 0 then as far as GPFS was concerned it was like you had never set a quota. This was notionally before per fileset quotas where a thing. In reality on my test cluster you could enable them and set them and they seemed to work as would be expected when I tested it. Never used it in production on those versions because well that would be dumb, and never had to remove a quota completely since. JAB. -- Jonathan A.
