Gentlefolk, I'm in desperate need of help! I installed GPGTools on April 1. It installed successfully (it said) but GPGMail didn't function. There was no hint of it in Apple Mail. I installed GPGTools a second time. The same thing happened. gpg2 works fine, however.
Today (April 4) I downloaded GPGMail ver. 1.3.3 from http://www.gpgtools.org/gpgmail/index.html, and installed it. It said the installation was successful, but, again, there was no evidence of GPGMail in the Apple Mail composition window. I reïnstalled it from the downloaded .dmg (without uninstalling it first). Same story with the following clues: No encryption bar under the From: line. No GPGMail icon in Mail Preferences. No PGP Keys item in Mail's menu bar View. No PGP Key Search in the menu bar's Window, No PGP in the menu bar's Message. Nothing about GPG in Mail's toolbar customization window. In the GPGMail Getting Started page on github.com, I was told to go to Mail.app>Settings≥OpenPGP>Create bit I don't know what this is nor how to find it. I went to System Preferences>GPGTools. I clicked Fix on the GPG tab. I went to the GPGMail tab, and clicked Fix. I was told that "[gpgmail] is installed" and "[gpgmail] is already patched". None of this helped. I'm using OS X 10.6.7, and Apple Mail 4.5 (1084) on a four-year-old MacBook. With many thanks for any help and guidance you can give me .... ____________________________________________ Charlie Rose Boulder, Colorado, USA Oberaudorf, Deutschland Web Site: http://www.ros5e.com My PGP Public Key: Temporarily Unvailable ------------------------------------- When LuteFisk is outlawed, Only outlaws will have LuteFisk
