Hello,

during the Problem with GPGMail installation, I saw that different users have sign their mails here. Now I asked myself if they all have not upload their keys to the server or why I have always standing "Missing key xxx" (see also screenshot). The other thing what could be is that I don't have all key servers into the list?!

Does gpg search only on the actual server or does gpg looks on all servers for the missing key to verify the signature?

Hi Hans,

If you have a keyserver configured and set to automatically retrieve new keys, you should be able to get keys for most of the users. (You should be able to verify this mail for example).

Most keyservers synch with each other on a regular basis, so a key uploaded to a single keyserver usually propogates to most keyservers out there.

The only key I haven't been able to fetch from a keyserver yet is that of Charlie who has posted on this list in the past few days.

Sincerely,

Remmy
