Yes, sure, I also thought nearly the same thing. But IMHO Apple could have 
implemented an extension system for third party developer, as it goes in Safari.

Actually, I'm not sure it was. But when I installed GPGtools for Snow Leopard, 
I don't remember I had to manually enable bundles via Terminal. But it's also a 
fact that my memory is not so long as I would it to be! :D
