I'm working on the Spanish localization for GPG Keychain Access. So far this is my status:
TODO Credits.rtf N/A InfoPlist.strings DONE Localizable.strings IN PROGRESS MainMenu.xib.strings # currently at line 300 TODO ModalSheets.xib.strings DONE Preferences.xib.strings When I finish a file, I've been zipping it and emailing it to you guys. That seems fine for small files. But I'm currently in the middle of a 654 line file, and it seems like it would be best to "check it in" to Git along the way, in case others wanted to work on it, or in case we ever need to back out of something I do. But...being more familiar with the "old" and formal model of stuff like RCS and Subversion, I am still unable to get a conceptual grasp on how to use Git without screwing something up. I've been reading howto stuff about Git and it is feeling a bit like when I learned Subversion, I.E, "read the whole book first". But I did initially follow the instructions at https://github.com/GPGTools/GPGTools/wiki/Localization but that was a couple months ago. So I fear that I might be translating old or outdated files. Can anyone give me a clue about what I should do to "update" my local versions of the files, and then "commit" my partial contributions to you folks? - I'm using RCS/SVN language here since that is what I'm familiar with.
