Hi, this feature definitely would be one of the best things in gPodder.
Actually, videocasts are growing up so is very important to have the
possibility of transfer videocasts episodies to our devices. The big issue is,
each device is different in many kinds, so i think that is almost impossible
gPodder would convert videocast for every format and device available. Maybe an
better option is review how it works format conversion in well know projects
that WinFF, Iriverter, etc or using mencoder directly and let the user choose
from a list of common devices (ipod, n800, creative zen vision) or his own
settings for width, height, audio/video bitrate, etc..
