It seems that "Auto download new episodes when gPodder is minimized" actually
works only when gPodder is minimized to a tray icon. When gPodder is minimized
in the usual way (to the task list) a window pops up asking for permission to
download. As a result there is no way to auto download when "Show gPodder icon
in the system notification area" is set off.
There should be an auto download option that works whenever gPodder is on,
regardless of any other settings.
