--- Comment #1 from Andrew Bennett <[email protected]> 2009-02-25 05:27:41 --- I just put 48 podcasts on my mp3 player as I described above in my first description. I will attach the output. There were about 3 times when the gpodder application would go black and recover within a few seconds. I believe this happens on feeds where the podcast names are not unique. Look at what happened at 123.498 and the next event which fired at 131.119. Assuming that is time, that is 7.6 seconds. (My computer is a Intel dual core E6400 that is running WorldCommunityGrid - so the CPUs are pinned most of the time, but WCG is a pretty friendly and CPU-yielding application when appropriate.) Sometimes when right clicking on a podcast, and choosing "Transfer to MP3 Player", would dismiss the popup menu, but no dialog would appear for a few seconds. I would sometimes see a dialog that appeared to say "Initializing..." before I'd see the file transfer dialog. To me, it appeared that the transfer had been kicked off and was occurring despite the lack of a visual dialog, because in the several instances where there was no dialog, the transfer dialog, when it finally displayed, was visible momentarily before the transfer was complete. This log also shows the startup sequence for comment #13 in ticket #347 where one of my podcast directories was converted but the original not removed. Let me know what you'd like me to do, if anything.
