Apart from making the code simpler for the current tab (no need to check if a "normal" channel or a "virtual channel" is selected), a separate tab also allows us to take the whole window width for displaying the episode list and even display the podcast name if we choose so. Also, I imagine that we are going to add some UI for doing different selections on the "unwatched stuff" tab that fits nicely on the top of the screen, like this (ascii art ftw): _________________ _Podc.._/ Unwatched stuff \__Downloads____________ | (o) Unwatched episodes ( ) New episodes ( ) All | | Sort by: [ Release date and name [v] ] | |--------------------------------------------------| | < episode list goes here > | |--------------------------------------------------| | [Copy selected to iPod] [Play selected] | |--------------------------------------------------| (the bottom items are buttons and can probably be put into the menu, too - I just wanted to show how we could make the "unwatched stuff" tab different from the normal view and give it a bit more use-case oriented features (a user can sync all unwatched episodes minus some to her device in one go by selecting a subset of the "unwachted episodes" list and clicking on that button). I'm open for suggestions and counter-arguments, though :) Happy to see some interest and thought going into this feature! -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.gpodder.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes. _______________________________________________ gPodder-Bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.berlios.de/mailman/listinfo/gpodder-bugs
