If the problem has to do with the GUID and it changing then shouldn't the episode only be re-downloaded the one time after the change? After re-downloading the episode the db should contain the new GUID and be satisfied but that doesn't seem to be the case. I can check for episodes, get a list of 5+ NOVA episodes that are months old and select never download.
