This was discovered by accident. I accidentally plugged the ipod into Itunes.
Itunes wiped out the data contents. No big deal since I backup. However it
trashed the "podcasts" directory as well. Point being when I went to resync
with gpodder it reported "unable to connect to device". I thought about it and
saw the missing "podcasts" directory and recreated it in gsync. It would be
nice if gpodder did this automatically but that's minor.
Anyway, this is simply not true. It had no problem connecting with the
device but failed to find the "podcasts" directory and therefore unable to
sync. This can induce major frustration to someone who has no idea what he is
doing. Error code should be updated.
