Talk of the Nation Podcast RSS feed
note: I'd have to check to double-check at home, but I'm almost 100% sure this
is not an issue with Rhythmbox's podcasting component.
Some NPR podcasts such as "Talk of the Nation" (TotN) and "On the Media" are
not being handled correctly. This is the feed for
http://www.npr.org/templates/rss/podlayer.php?id=5 . Basically some of the
files will download correctly, but others will just be text files. So I can't
listen to all of the podcasts. This is primarily the cast with TotN, while
only somewhat of a problem with "On the Media".
I think they're doing some weird thing where it's supposed to autogenerate the
podcast audio when you ask for it or something. I don't know, but when I used
to use Rhythmbox for podcatching, it would say in the metadata "autogenerated
by _____ - something I can't remember - at NPR) . I'm going to include a file
attachment screenshot that you can refer to since the RSS feed will change
content as time passes.
Now, if you look at the screenshot, there's an entry for Google's book project.
I know that MP3 file isn't 97 KB because I listened to it.
