You should actually have reported this bug in the Red Hat Bugzilla against Fedora's gpodder package. I co-maintain the gpodder package in Fedora and happened to notice this bug from your and Thomas' identi.ca feeds. Fedora's gpodder package depends on gnome-bluetooth because that package includes the bluetooth-sendto command. The bluez dependency is probably not needed anymore, the 2.0 package has been made before I became a co-maintainer, I've dropped the bluez dependency in Rawhide for 2.2. The main maintainer of the package is Jeff Spaleta and he's had limited Internet connectivity for a while now, which is why I became a co-maintainer. Important decisions regarding the package should be discussed with Jeff as well. RPM doesn't have a Suggests type mechanism such as dpkg. I can't really speak for Jeff, but I'm guessing the idea has been to depend on everything gpodder needs in order to offer the best functionality for the users. Fab, if you want to have the desktop without PulseAudio, maybe you should ask the gnome-bluetooth packagers why that package depends on PA. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.gpodder.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes. _______________________________________________ gPodder-Bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.berlios.de/mailman/listinfo/gpodder-bugs
