--- Comment #5 from Thomas Perl <[email protected]> 2010-02-22 21:40:40 GMT --- Not wanting to start a flame war here, but could it be that RPM does not have a mechanism to cleanly support "weak dependencies" like "Recommends:" from DEB? Current apt versions handle Recommends: so that the recommended packages are installed by default as dependencies, but removing recommended packages does not cause the "recommending" package to be removed automatically. Have a look at the dependencies of gPodder for Debian: http://packages.debian.org/sid/gpodder If RPM *does* provide such a feature, maybe we can use it to mark all "optional runtime dependencies" in the Fedora package? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.gpodder.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes. _______________________________________________ gPodder-Bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.berlios.de/mailman/listinfo/gpodder-bugs
