Summary: Ability to group and categorize your podcasts
Product: gPodder
Version: 2.3
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: feature request
Priority: low
Component: Application
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [email protected]
CC: [email protected]
A handy feature, especially for users with many podcasts, would be the ability
to group and categorize their podcasts. This would tidy up their subscriptions
list and make it easier to manage podcasts. Another added bonus would be the
ability, in the future, to handle each category separately.
For example, a user might have 20 subscriptions, 5 of which are grouped under
"News" category. He could then change a setting under "News" to have these
podcasts saved to a different folder on his portable media player.
/media/MyPlayer/podcasts/news/
Maybe even the ability to maintain his podcasts with separate settings per
category, such as icons, auto-downloads, etc. Instead of globally applying
settings to ALL podcasts or only SINGLE podcasts, he would be able to apply
settings to specific CATEGORIES.
Let me know if this could be better elaborated!
